Honestly, I am glad this movie isn't going to happen, the designs looked below average, Rainmaker themselves already created a box office flop, it was never going to good at all. And I will have the same mentality going into the TV series aswell, hype does nothing but ruin things.
I have to be honest, I do agree with you to some extent. VIVI and other Sly youtubers do tend to build up hype, as well as hype themselves up, and the news that the movie has probably been cancelled seems to have really disappointed VIVI, if not down right pissed him off! It's a case of hype ruining something. And like you, I'm not that bothered that the movie has probably been cancelled. After the failure of Ratchet and Clank, Sony probably didn't want to risk it again with Sly so they opted for a TV series instead, which I personally think is a better option.
